What’s Going Under Beyond Hotels
There’s been a lot of talk about the data centre under the old Brunlea Hotel, so we wanted to explain it properly.

The data centre will go in the old underground car park and basement, so there’s nothing new being built and nothing changes on the street. Any cooling kit sits underground or in an enclosure on the roof.
It uses a closed-loop water system to keep the servers cool. The heat that would normally be wasted gets piped back up into the hotel to help heat the spa, the exclusive gym and the rest of the building, so the hotel needs less energy from the grid.
We’re also putting solar panels across the site. The aim is for them to cover what the data centre needs. We’ve already got solar panels on Above Hotels, and this goes a step further.
It’s all part of the same project that’s bringing 32 hotel rooms, penthouse suites and apartments to Keirby Walk, along with a spa, an exclusive gym, whole-body cryotherapy and hard-shell HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy). The plans have now been approved, and we’ll post updates here as things move along.
If you want to see what we’re building towards, the four apartments at Beyond Hotels are already open and you can book a stay now.
